    Description

    Nurofen 200mg Tablets – 48 Tablets

Nurofen 200mg Tablets contain ibuprofen, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that provides effective relief from a wide range of everyday pains including headaches, migraines, dental pain, period pain, muscular and back pain, and cold and flu symptoms.

    How It Works

Ibuprofen works by blocking the production of prostaglandins — natural chemicals in the body that cause pain, swelling, and fever. By reducing prostaglandin levels, ibuprofen helps to relieve pain, lower temperature, and reduce inflammation at the source.

    Directions for Use

Adults and young people aged 12 years and over: take 1 to 2 tablets (200–400mg) with water. Do not take more than 3 doses (1,200mg) in 24 hours. Leave at least 4 hours between doses. Use the lowest effective dose for the shortest time necessary. Not suitable for children under 12 years. Always read the patient information leaflet before use. If you are unsure about the correct dose, speak to your PillSorted pharmacist.

Who Should Not Take This Medicine

    • People who are allergic to ibuprofen, aspirin, or other NSAIDs

    Interactions

Ibuprofen may interact with blood-thinning medicines (such as warfarin), other NSAIDs or aspirin, antihypertensives (blood pressure medicines), diuretics, lithium, methotrexate, and certain antidepressants. Taking ibuprofen alongside other NSAIDs or corticosteroids can increase the risk of stomach bleeding. Tell your PillSorted pharmacist or doctor about all medicines you are currently taking, including herbal remedies and supplements.

    Pregnancy and Breastfeeding

Ibuprofen should not be taken during the third trimester of pregnancy (28 weeks onwards) as it may harm your unborn baby. It should be used with caution during the first and second trimesters. Ibuprofen passes into breast milk in small amounts and is generally considered suitable for short-term use during breastfeeding, but individual advice is recommended. Speak to your doctor or PillSorted pharmacist before use if you are pregnant, trying to conceive, or breastfeeding.

    Alcohol

Drinking alcohol while taking ibuprofen can increase the risk of stomach irritation and gastrointestinal bleeding. It is advisable to avoid or limit alcohol consumption whilst taking this medicine.

    Driving and Operating Machinery

Nurofen 200mg Tablets are not expected to affect your ability to drive or operate machinery. However, if you experience dizziness or any other side effects that could impair your reactions, do not drive or use machinery until you feel well again.

    Storage

Store below 25°C in a dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep out of sight and reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date shown on the packaging.
