Neutrogena T/Gel Therapeutic Shampoo is a medicated shampoo used to treat and control scalp conditions including dandruff, psoriasis, and seborrhoeic dermatitis. It helps to relieve itching, reduce flaking, and soothe an irritated scalp.

How It Works

The active ingredient, coal tar extract, works by slowing down the rapid growth of skin cells on the scalp, which is a key cause of flaking and scaling. It also has anti-inflammatory and antifungal properties that help to calm irritation and reduce the build-up of dead skin cells, leaving the scalp healthier over time.

Directions for Use

Adults and children aged 12 years and over: Wet hair thoroughly, apply a generous amount of shampoo to the scalp, and massage in well. Leave on for 5 minutes, then rinse and repeat if necessary. Use twice a week, or as directed by your doctor. This shampoo is not recommended for children under 12 years of age unless advised by a doctor. Always read the patient information leaflet before use. Who Should Not Take This Medicine

Interactions

There are no well-established significant interactions between Neutrogena T/Gel Therapeutic Shampoo and other medicines when used as directed. However, as coal tar can increase sensitivity to sunlight, avoid using other photosensitising products at the same time without medical advice. Store below 25°C in a dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat. Keep the cap firmly closed when not in use. Keep out of sight and reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date shown on the packaging.
